ABOUT US
MzN International is a social enterprise, passionate about doing good, but convinced that it can be done better. We think that humanitarian and development actors should be sustainably financed, professionally run, transparent, and fully accountable, so that they can operate efficiently and deliver effective services to communities worldwide. With more than 75 staff and consultants in over 22 countries, we provide advisory and capacity building services to (I)NGOs, IOs, local governments and community representatives with the aim to improve their output and increase their impact.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Interns at MzN International are full team members, taking on the same responsibilities and duties of a new-starter. This ensures that interns are integral part of our work, not merely observers, in turn ensuring that the intern has useful experiences for a later career start in the development & aid sector. In 2014 and 2015, most of our new starters hired were former interns.

As an intern, you will work in the Training and Coaching Team. You will assist on the management and implementation of training and coaching projects worldwide, as well as with the writing of proposals and development of new projects. You will also support the active communication of our service offering in this area. We place preference upon candidates that have good video editing or graphic design/photo editing abilities, although this is not an absolute priority; having a well rounded skillset and being a fast learner are more important.

All internships are full time (Monday to Friday, 40hrs) and run for a duration of a min. of 3 to a max of 7 months.

REQUIREMENTS
Our internship scheme is very popular and we receive a lot of applications. Please therefore ensure that you meet ALL requirements below:

  1. You are an enrolled student for the full duration of the internship. The internship must be a requirement for your course.
  2. Genuine and well reasoned motivation to work in the development and humanitarian aid sector
  3. Personal integrity, punctuality and reliability
  4. Attention to detail is essential
  5. Must be eligible to live and work in the EU
  6. Have valid health insurance
  7. Excellent communication skills in English
  8. Able to work full time, Monday to Friday.

Also important: If you do not already have a German Tax ID Number, you will need to obtain one by registering at an address in Germany. Once you are registered as living in Germany you will automatically receive in the mail your German Tax ID Number, which is necessary for us to issue the gratuity payment.
